Current Openings

Immediate opening for Electrical Engineer. Experience working in the Dept of Energy complex preferred. This position requires a person with exceptional energy and broad-based technical expertise with power distribution and process controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical design tasks for the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents.
  • Prepare electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical system designs including electrical equipment sizing, feeder sizing, equipment selection, load flow, protection coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to industry and customer standards.
  • Maintain well-documented project technical deliverables.
  • Provide construction RFI support and technical leadership.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
  • 3+ years experience in power system design and analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering License (PE)
  • 7+ years experience in power system design and analysis for the Dept of Energy complex
  • Experience working as an electrical consultant and managing projects.
  • Experience with electrical modeling software such as SKM or ETAP.
  • Experience with drafting in AutoCAD.
